A highly effective extra layer for when the chill in the air is really starting to bite, the Rapha Classic Wind Check Gilet keeps those nasty draughts at bay with real ease. The windproofing and water-resistance are extremely effective, as you’d expect from the brand by now, and this is expanded upon with the slightly off-centre zip, as well as mesh side panels which not only aid the excellent fit, but also act as vents for excess heat when the sun pokes its head out. On top of that, you’re protected from road spray too thanks to a slightly longer back.
Always ready for an emergency, the brilliant architectural design of the Classic Wind Check Gilet, with bonding at the seams and hems, allows it to pack super small for reduced bulk and better packability. As a result, you can easily pop it into a jersey pocket and forget about it until the rains comes. Elsewhere in the vest, the regular cut keeps your performance quality high, a chin guard prevents irritation, and reflective detailing keeps you safe and seen in lower light.
