Domanda: How does my Edge 810, 800, 510 or 500 determine temperature and what external factors affect the reading?
Rispondi:
The Edge 810, 800, 510 and 500 use an internal temperature sensor to provide temperature data. Many external factors can impact the temperature reading provided by the internal sensor.
These external factors include, but are not limited to:
Sun
Wind
Hot pavement
Palm of user's hand
Heat from the battery during charging
The temperature reading displayed is considered to be ambient temperature. This means that external factors will be considered by the temperature sensor, as outlined above, when reporting a temperature.
Temperature may vary a great deal from air temperature, but it is a more realistic reading regarding external factors that may impact you physically during an activity.
