"It's the third
time that I'm writing over here and the problem is the same: I have a KICKR, a Macbook Pro and Trainerroad. I'm sure that the bluetooh version of the
Mac is minimum 4.0(5.2 precisely) and the firmware of the Kickr is the last version. I also have a ANT+ USB stick
Garmin. Now, the problem: sometimes the Kickr appears connected on Trainerroad software, and sometimes like now, the Kickr seems death. There's no signal on bluetooh connection and on the ANT+ connection. Can you help me?"

"Filippo,
The best way to begin to troubleshoot your issue is to run through some basic steps.
- Please provide the serial number of your KICKR. For help locating the serial number, please check out the following link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/j2k8205s0yonif8/How to Locate Serial Number (1).pdf
- Please close all apps capable of connecting to the KICKR. Most apps are capable of running in the background on the device and continuing to have a connection to the KICKR, which will prevent other apps from connecting to the KICKR or can cause conflicting commands to be sent to the KICKR. The links below show how to close the apps on Android and iOS.
iOS:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330
- Download and install the
Wahoo Utility app. Select "Test Bluetooth 4.0 Sensors" and "KICKR" to pair to your KICKR. Click "Init Spindown" and follow the instructions to complete this procedure. Please provide the results of the spindown (Temperature, Time, and Offset).
- Check your user profile to ensure your weight and height are set correctly for the app you are using.
- Check the black & white decal on the side of the large pulley wheel for any signs of wear. If you see any wear, please let me know and send a picture highlighting the problem areas. The link shows scratches to an encoder disc.

- Clean the optical sensor (small black dot on the small circuit board in the top cap) and black & white decal with a soft rag. Something as simple as dust build up or pet hair can obstruct the ability of the optical sensor from measuring speed properly. Please watch the video at the following link for instructions on removing and re-installing the speed sensor.
