Il gruppo Accell, di cui fanno parte anche Ghost, Lapierre e Haibike, inizia una collaborazione con Rein4ced, un’azienda belga dotata di uno stabilimento automatico di un nuovo materiale chiamato Feather, composto da carbonio e acciaio, quest’ultimo teso ad eliminare eventuali rotture improvvise del telaio.
La capacità produttiva è di 20.000 telai l’anno, che andranno anche ad altre aziende di bici al momento non ancora comunicate al pubblico.

Today Accell Group and REIN4CED announced their collaboration on the automated production of high-end carbon fiber bicycle frames for Accell. Mid 2020 the first hardtail mountain bikes with the new technology for Accell’s brand Ghost will be available in Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Czech. REIN4CED set up a brand new automated manufacturing facility in Belgium.
With the production shift from Asia to Belgium, Accell benefits from significant logistic and sustainability advantages as well as increased supply chain flexibility and efficiency. Local manufacturing in Europe drastically reduces overseas shipments and storage, resulting in a positive contribution to CO2 emission, faster deliveries and cost savings.

Taiwan la qualità è buona, ma i costi sono diventati elevati. Cina mantenere standar qualitativi elevati è sempre difficile e gli scarti sono elevati.
Ma molto influiscono, quantità e leed time del prodotto, cioè lotti di prodotti sempre piu' piccoli e tempi di consegna sempre piu' brevi..
Queste sono le informazioni che ho io nel mio piccolo....
Ma che so io la lavorazione del carbonio è ancora molto legata alla manualità...
Un mio collega un paio di anni fa aveva lavorato al progetto di una linea completamente automatizzata per la lavorazione del Carbonio ( non settore bici..) Poi mi sembra il progetto sia stato accantonato.
Non saprei dirti se per limiti oggettivi nella lavorazione del Carbonio che so esistevano.. o piu' semplicemente abbiano trovato un paese dove quella qualità vine garantita ad un prezzo conveniente, sempre mantenendo lavorazioni manuali...
Succede piu' spesso di quel che si creda..
Comunque se non ci sono arrivati ci arriveranno a breve...
